Seriously wicked look and design…I like it a lot!

That is a seriously well made pen!!!

I like the panache kit. It has lots op possibilities.

Excellent match of blank to kit (or vice versa)

A most excellent pen, well thought out and delivered a piece of art

Very interesting pen. Not sure I like it that much tho. It would probably grow on me tho.

This is better than good, its serious art, an I am not even into the 'insanity of the pen' (yet .. Haa)

i found myself closely examining the other pen, the segmented one, until finally I worked out how it was done.

with this one and the dark lines ... A comment .. If you were to 'waist' a similar blank ... Like an hourglass .. Then in theory the dark lines should also follow the waist in ?

regardless of the varying diameter, all lines remain present but just move in closer together as the diameter decreases. This probably doesn't make sense.

it has given me ideas ... Ta for that

OMG ... You mean its catching just by thinking about it ??

y'know up at my place .. Each time I throw a ironbark log in the fire I look at that beautiful red color on the ends and throughout .. And I think, 'such a waste'

why hasn't anybody made a pen out of ironbark yet. Segmented maybe ? Wedges ... Or .. Segmented wedges .. (I tink I'm startin to slip)

Greg, you are correct. The line will decrease or converge as the diameter decreases. In fact with some other pen kits, the lines will disappear if the blank is turned "too far when you can see the brass tube". But in the case of the Panache, as a "beefy" pen, there is a lot "real estate" between the outer diameter of the tube and the outer diameter of finished pen.

Now it is my turn to say .... make sense?
