A Pleasant surprise
Last week a surprise package from David (Timberbits) left me a bit flabbergasted I had to come up with something suitable to be shown off a bit hehe, Using a Rinehart fountain pen kit ,and Neils Bealle ( left here for some advanced tweaking ) and the one and only piece of Plane tree burl I had, I put this together Not too bad in the end ! Cheers ~ John

You could have knocked me over with a feather when it arrived.
I now have to get busy on a special pen to go in there, thinking of olive wood or maybe
french oak wine barrel, any way many thanks to David it was a real surprise and will be treasured.Lindz
It's only a foot long, but I don't use it as a rule

Was also lucky enough to receive one of these from David, and jumped straight on the phone to say thanks. He certainly values his customers, and knows how to keep us coming back.
Just need to find the right pen to go on display now.

Great Job John, very nice piece of wood and a great finish
i was also lucky enough to recieve one of these boxes, called david as soon as i got it and he wouldn't have a bar of me thanking him, "no we are thanking you" he said
i gotta find that special piece of wood to make the ultimate pen for displaying in it, big task, but you have pulled it off well with that beauty

i'm another lucky bugger too
now i have to make a very specky pen to install in the specky case .
but at the moment i am snorting out dust and other stuff i wont mention here from turning some fancy feet for a kitchen bench for a guy , but the timber he gave me for the job is off the end of the hardness scale and drier than anything i have ever turned its older than dirt was a stump under a cob and co building and i want to finish these and clean up the mess before i do another pen ( sold 3 pens today too and 2 yesterday ).
johno
and thanks again david'If the enemy is in range, so are you.'

went to the mail box yesterday trying not to get my hopes up as I did not wish to be disappointed but to my surprise there was a parcel from David and you all know what it was
As soon as I got home i found my best pen and placed it on top of the TV for all to see
Just as i was settling to my first rumDavid rings me to find out why I had not received my box so a quick thank you and a nice chat took place.
It is great to see customers service is still alive and I must say very strong in the turning world
Cheers Rum Pig
