polygon one piece slimline
hi guys had this blank ready for a while and decided that i would try a one piece as everyone likes how theres no centre band and thought since the pen wizard is getting a workout lets chuck in on and see
this was the first time i had tried using acrylic on the penwizard and was wondering what finish i would end up
i was supprised , finished to about 1200 then buffed with some cut and polish
for those that want to know how the pen was made in one piece click on the link below on my signature

Looks very nice !! and nice work with the Pen Wizard
Did you paint the tubes or reverse paint the blank ? it does look like the tube is showing at both ends of the pen.
All the same good effort and something different to the run of the mill.
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers
Tony.

Hi Troy
That a nice looking pen.
Ever though of making a green one like that and calling it a Kryptonite pen?
Thanks for sharing.

Hi there. Lovely Pen. I have just purchased some Green (Kryptonite) and Pearl Acrylics from Timberbits. They come out absolutely beautifull Will make some toothpick holders and thread through a gold chain and wear as a pendant. You can stash a $100 bill in there and nobody would know. LOL. It's sad when you finish turning and find that the tube is visible. I have turned a few to know which ones need painted tubes. I use Jo Sonja Acrylic Paint. Seem to work fine. Keep up your good work and thanks for sharing. I love reading all of the hints on this site and have learnt a great deal from you experienced turners. A BIG THANKYOU GUYS

Lovely pen...ghosting is just part of the art but prefer to hide it with a undercoat of black or white.

This one reminds me of the crystal podium, in the Superman movie . First class workmanship, as usual Troy. The woodworking season is almost here for us heat exhausted tropic dwellers.
I never forget anything I remember !!
