Thread: What Price Is Good For The Clutch Pencil

Pricing for any Item of craft work is always a bit difficult,your costs for kits materials difficulty and finishes all come into play ,your market is also a consideration as well .with people who know you and appreciate what goes into your product you can get a better price than a stranger who buys on impulse , but in the case of these clutch pens I find around $35- 40 dollars is about my market price, but you need to get kits at less than $10 dollars for these prices to work. You will also need to supply refills to most people who buy from you ,you can get these off various pen kit suppliers or off E-Bay, they do last well though. Don't forget the pencil sharpener in the cap end hehe. Cheers ~ John

Hey John thanks mate there ones are from carba tec and best $20 a pop so were do get yours from if you dont mind me asking I was thinking about maybe $60 what do you think Ian

Ian , start here ! CUSA there are 3mm lead Artist pencils ,then the bigger ones at almost 6 mm lead ,some fancy with clips and plain with hex centre bands and finial end.
PSI here! With PSI you can order through resellers most times, I use woodturningz and wood and whimsies , and if you get $60 per pencil I will make as many as you want for $40 all supplied hehe, cheers ~ John
