Default Pristina fountain pen in acrylic.

Friend of a friend handed me this pearl, orange and black blank and asked if i could turn it into a really big fountain pen.
    This is what happened.

Pristina kit from Timberbits, of course. They really are a very nice kit and quite big.

Second photo shows it next to a sedona in red ash for size comparison.

Did you need to reverse paint/paint the tube with the turning this large? She is a big'un!

The fit-n-finish look awesome! Well turned!!!

Nice work, is the kit weighty as well as large?

    No, I didn't - is that a good idea?

I glued using two part epoxy and left for three days .

The kit is all brass except for the internal thread in the cap. The pen weighs in at 62 grams, the sedona is 42 so it does feel solid in the hand.
