    My first try at dying my own blanks. Trans Tint dye on a piece of curly maple and wrapped around a copper Elegant Sierra.

    Turn and sand the blank to finish ready. Put a few drops of Trans Tint dye in some alcohol , add enough so that the color looks good, paint the blank with a small brush. Let sit until dry, burnish with 0000 steel wool and then apply the finish. I do it all with the blank on the lathe and the lathe OFF until the dye has dried.
