A few recent pens
Here's a few pens I have recently finished.

Pic 5 & 6: Rhodium & Gold Titanium highlights Roman Harvest Rollerball in Lignum Vitae. When I get to use Lignum Vitae I sand the raw wood to 2000 and that's all. I don't put a finish on the wood as the natural oil content and hardness of the wood protects it sufficiently. One of my daily users is made from LV. I've been using it for a few years now and it still looks like it's just come off the lathe. It's also nice to get the fruity smell from the wood as it sits on my desk.

A worthy lot of pens there Corbs. I like the LV best of all.
I have made a few pens with some LV blanks I scored from Costa Rica, but have put a CA finish on them, I am interested to look into leaving my next one raw, as you have done with yours.Brad.

Brad,
The high oil content of the LV gives plenty of protection for the wood. My favourite daily user at work is a LV Gentlemans rollerball which is probably 3 years old now and still looks like it just came off the lathe. The smell of the LV is still very noticeable as well.

Thanks for that tip Corbs, that sounds like my kind of pen.
Just got some stainless steel kits, when I get the new lathe up and running, a raw LV on stainless might be the pen that christens the lathe .Brad.
