Red Wood Burl Sierra's
Hey Everyone
Well I just couldnt help myself the Red wood Burl that Larry sent me I just had to have a crack at it So here are the results and I think I nailed these two both Sierra kits one gunmetal & chrome and the other is gunmetal & gold both sanded to 1200g micro miesh and then 25 coats of CA had to a bit of stabilizing on the blanks and the gold one had a chip out on the nip end but I filled it with CA and saw dust witch fixed it all comments welcome
Ian (pics will be loaded asap)

Every pen gives double pleasure ,one when you make it ,and one when it goes to a new owner win win hehe, always fun to try new things and materials ,after 3 years of constant pen making I am still finding new things and ways to have fun with it I hope it's the same for everybody else as well , There are no limits beyond your own These examples show how far you have come in a very short time frame ,and by now you can see how far you can go ,think infinity lol. Cheers ~ John
G'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

Great looking timber!
You sure did it justice with an excellent fit and finish.
Nice choice of plating to complement the timber.
Well done.
Keep'em coming.

I think your best work yet. Love the wood, makes me think the myrtle burl that i was going to make into a bowl could be a smaller bowl and a pen.
