    Default Regurgitated Palm seeds !!

A little background on this , Neil (dai sensei) heard some noises in the palm trees one night and on investigation found some bats (or flying foxes) feeding off them, In the morning he discovered all these nicely cleaned seeds on the ground ,so being curious as always ,decided to collect, roast in oven, then cast some up as pen blanks ,he shared some of the roasted seeds with me so I cast up a blank to test the viability Here's the result ,cast in green ,looks like peanut brittle hehe. Was bit challenging but all came out good, I used a Phoenix kit as it has plenty of meat for such things like this . Cheers ~ John

    Looks good John,
I was only talking to Neil about these new blanks today.
might have to get some to give them a try,
a bright red or orange would probably look pretty cool
    cheers Ben

Not sure, multi ~150mm dia stem from base 10-15' high, small yellow fruit growing in bunches.

Multiple stems - probably a Golden Cane palm. The pens look great. I'm glad you didn't try to make them palatable like the coffee beans the wild cats eat and then pass and are gathered, roasted and ground to drink

Don't want to spoil your plan Ben but palm seeds are usually brown on the outside and mostly white on the inside.
All the pretty colours are the flesh on the outside which is what the birds like to eat and which would not stand up in resin.
    Cheers, Ian
