Default Need someone to repair or make pens

Hi there everybody. It's Shontara here and just last week, I took a phone call from a previous client we had many dealings with in our market days at Mt Tamborine and Broadbeach. He needed assistance from someone who could fix a fountain pen that Gawdelpus had made some years ago. He also needed a replacement cartridge and converter. I promised to phone him and pass on a new contact. He loves collecting fountain pens (and other from time to time). I was able to help him with all his needs this time but he and possibly others who may crop up sometime later who do not know that Gawdelpus is kicking butt in Heaven, still may need repairs which can sometimes happen, no matter how good a pen turner you are. So on behalf of Gawdelpus, I am now here to request any good and enthusiastic pen turners, whether you be local or interstate to reply to my request if you are willing to assist. Or if you should not be able to, at least give me a contact name and number, so I may communicate with them direct. I want to collect several of you, so I don't run into the situation where the one or two people I have relied upon in the past are not available. In advance, I thank you and look forward to all the replies I receive here. Hugs and smiles to you all
G'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

Thanks so much Amos. Appreciate greatly your reply here. Could you possibly send me an email at [email protected] with your phone number please. I am pretty sure I have it still somewhere but it could take me a little while to find it. Appreciate your offer as does John in helping me when needed. As I said, I do not believe it will be a regular occurrence, just occasionally. Take care Amos and look forward to receiving your phone number. Chow chow for now and take care.

Excellent that Amos is able to help and he clearly has your details now.

May I suggest that you ask people to send you a PM rather than post your email address in this thread. Private Meassages are the way we normally exchange personal information on the Forum to eliminate nuisance contact from mischievous persons.

I think you should still be able to edit your original post and remove your email address.

It is fabulous you can perpetuate gawdelpus' legacy .

Thanks Bushmiller for your concern about my safety. I have no such concerns and because Gawdelpus has always trusted this Forum and has never had a problem with anyone here ever, I expect I will not have a problem either. Having said that though, I do understand where you are coming from and your heart is in the right place. I will do as you suggest with any further posts I do in the future, to send one of your members a PM, if mentioning my personal contact details. In particular with my phone number. Thanks for your kind advice Bushmiller. Wishing you all the very best in whatever endeavour you choose to undertake in life Chow chow chow

Hi Shontara. I agree that you can trust the forum members here, but the forum is also read by many non-members, there is no way of knowing who these may be, or what motivates them. So I also agree with Paul, to tread on the side of caution is a good idea, only pass your private phone number or email address, or residential address for that matter, by PM.
