Retro
My first retro, I think the next one will be modified as Bdar has done and do away with the CB. I can't remember where I got he blank from but it changed in colour the more I machined off it. I still have a few left. The kit was from Addictive

Sam, great looking pen
I am however confused (some would say that is easily achieved!). The only Retro I have seen until now is the one from CSUSA, picture 2
CSUSA sell the kit you are showing as the Americana Classic, picture 1
Would you care to enlighten this beginner?

Fred I purchased it from Addictive and they call it a Retro it has a gold CB which I have used but think it looks better as the pen you pointed out in your first picture

Woodcraft also sell the same kit

Hope this helps

Nice pen. I really like the colors and how they seem to revolve around the pen. I like the band, the gold gives a break to all of the color. Would like to see it without a band.

Gary Pye sells them with a single tube and calls them an Americana. the Retro that Brett sells is cheaper than the Americana and it doesn't take long to machine the center band down. Sam what you have done is great good finish and perfect fit up. the single barrel does allow more design variations and a better show of grain or colour from the acrylic.

Sam,
Great looking pen. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but with the pen kit being a retro, the blank looks pretty retro to me as well.

Sam gorgeous pens
Carrols woodcraft sells the tubes the all on one piece tubes for tube for the retro. He calls it a different name I cannot get in at the moment to ahve a look for you but it has no centreband like the berea one they are my favourites. I also think he sells just those full size tubes. Might be worth an email.
