Because of the type of steel rebar, or riobar is made of, it oxidizes a light layer, forming a protective patina, which seals the steel from the elements and stops it rusting....with the handling it will receive and the oils off the users hands, it will not stain or rust...for you gun collectors, the same thing happens to old guns, they form that light brown patina...look at railroad rails, they sit out in the elements all the time, and dont rust away...in fact, they last centuries....
