    Default a few scallops

Here are a pair of pens I finished earlier this month. Each pen has 77 pieces and they are Holly, African Blackwood and Aluminum. 8 sets of scallops per pen. There is a total of 18 hours work in the pair. They were supposed to be identical(but I glued on up wrong) I call it a happy mistake.

They look different. I can relate to the amount of work because I am currently working on a segmented one right now that has scalloped work also. I too am using holly and blackwood. Should be a little bit of challenge to keep the holly looking white with the aluminum and blackwood dust. I see you managed to do a good job with those challenges. Thinking outside the box. Thanks for showing. As far as time goes that never did concern me. Time is relevant and you make of it what you want. When you put the extra time into something it usually shows in the details and that is why the first question people ask is how long did it take you to make that??? Good job.

OK I'm impressed so when is the tutorial on how to make these incredible pens because your 17 hours translates to about 35 to me .But it would be worth it .

thanks for the comments, it does take a bit of patience to make it happen. I think I spent more quality time working on those that week than I did with my family. Of course they were at work or school for most of it.
