Sealing the blank ends
I was trying to avoid this thread by asking the question in another. Not to worry. My question is -
What type of wax do you use to seal the end of newly cut wet timber blanks to allow them to dry thoroughly?
Next question - Where do you get it from?
Your advice is appreciated.

I use log end sealer, it's a caltex product but you usually need to buy it in large quantities like a 10 litre tin. We use it for pen blanks all the way up to large slabs.
Last lot we got was years ago, can't remember price I'm sorry."That's impossible. Nobody can give more than 100%. By definition that is the most anyone can give"

You can use end sealer for logs, but are you doing logs or pen blanks? If pen blanks, best to dip the ends in hot parafin wax. You can buy the wax on line, just heat it up in an electric frypan or wok. Don't use a stove type, hot wax and open flames don't mix
