    Smile Got to share

    I just posted this to Woodturning - General and realised it should have gone here.

    I can not resist on my DH''s behalf - I took his pens to the local Christmas markets and in just 3 hours I had sold 23 pens and 5 rosewood boxes (the boxes were imports to display the pens in)

    I think I did pretty darn good and he is chuffed too.

    The main timber sellers were local woods - for their local value
    and figured timbers such as Black Palm and the lace and flame sheoaks.

    BTW they sold at $30 each

    You did well,the area rings a bell SHMBO has a brother in Karatha in the TAFE system called Peter so you are one long way from here,interested in what timbers are local,I have a feeling dead finish,Conkerberry,Sandal wood and trees like that grow at that latitude,if you are interested send me a pm,I could make a swap for some interesting stuff from south of here.Most turners find it easier to make than sell,good onya for selling for him.
