    Default More Shed Time = More Pens

    Hi All,

    As the title says, I managed to secure some more time in my workshop for half the day today so turned these out.
    From the Left
    Letter Opener and Australiana Exec Sierra in Gold & Black Titanium wrapped in Blue Metal.
    Letter Opener and Australiana Exec Sierra in Gold & Black Titanium wrapped in Rusty Cart.
    Cigar in Gold & Black Titanium wrapped in Copper & Violet.
    Cigar in Gold & Black Titamium wrapped in Blue Blood.
    Cigar in Gold wrapped in Tasmanian Myrtle Burl.

    Nice lot indeed ,must be Bruces blanks ,he turns out some beauties . At least with pen making you can get great results in limited time ,so always have something to show for your efforts cheers ~ John

    Yes I do Ian although I do like the unusual and most of the more exotic type timbers with qulity colour and grains

    On the money John !! Bruce does make some very awesome blanks, they very hard though. Bought my self one of the Pen Pro's to accommodate them the other thing I like about Bruces blanks is no having to paint the tubes as they are not transparent like some others.

    another crackin lot tony!, the myrtle burl looks pretty sweet, im not usually a big fan of the acrylics but that blue metal is just awsome

    Nice work and beautiful blanks. shame to waste them on a Sierra. Would love to have seen those beautiful colours married to something that would have shown more of the blank and not so much of the kit section of the sierra.
    I think those blanks deserved something better than the sierra kit. Please don't think I am knocking your work, it is superb and for that reason I made the comments above. Your quality of workmanship and those blanks deserved something better. I love the letter openers.. Excellent work. My pick of the Sierra's would be pic #1
