Sheoak burl fancy slimline
Hello all, Its been a while since I've done a pen and with a friends birthday coming up I thought it was a good excuse to whip out the lathe. The first half of the blank had a big blow out (stupid skew...) so I've used a different blank for the second half from the same burl and I think its hard to tell they don't match. Sorry for the bad pictures, I took them with my phone sitting on top of my couch. Ash.

nice character in that piece of wood mate
the good thing about burl is that they are so different after the cut anyway, a replacement is rarely noticed
all the best
