    Default Sheoak Pods Pen

    Sometime ago I was lucky enough to be given a resin(?) blank containing Sheoak pods. Ironwood (Brad) was the generous member and he warned me to keep coating it with CA while I was turning (to stop any pods coming free). I thought about that for ages (being too scared to start) and finally bit the bullet. His advice was spot on and the turning was trouble free. The Sheoak pods looked great and the end result was that my wife grabbed it for herself with the comment "That's my Easter present - tell Brad THANKS" .

    Hey Gary, looks like you did a good job on that one. They can be troublesome at times with pieces popping out as you turn it down. The transition from blank to hardware looks perfect, and I think you picked the perfect kit to match it with.
