I am gobsmacked by the Nasa Standard Clean room that you operate in.
Observations if I may be so bold.
Thats tha mother of all Bandsaws made the way they all should be cast iron everywhere and built to work forever.remember your introducing the cone shape top drill press from your Dad I admired so much then and now.
The small work desk shallow to allow access to the parts bins in front.
Love those wooden combination locks, the Scroll Sawn animals, the skeleton clock.
Mats on the floor, slippers and furry boots to suit the season.
The clock made from a saw blade on the wall.
Fine dust extraction at low level (first time I have seen one mounted so low but sensible in this environment.
Piece de resistance plastic sheeting when I showed the pics to my wife she said to make it easier for your wife to clean the room. ( we know she is never allowed in)
Altogether with a very few workshops I have seen especially mine the exception to prove the rule fit to be called workshop of the year or entered in Shop Beautiful but I must say it matches in all respects the incredible standard of your pens. Be Proud.
Indeed thank you for raising the stakes on just how neat a workshop can be, to be admired and commended, something to aim for, your sharing has certainly made my day.
Regards Peter.

Wish I hadn't seen that... one of my lathes is buried under shavings from the bowls I was turning yesterday and I have boxes of blanks everywhere. Really should sort out my shed though
It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

HOW CAN YOU FIND ANYTHING.....
actually i was told recently that only lazy people have a tidy workshop... they can't be bothered looking for anything
all jokes aside, your shop is very well laid out , i wish i had that much free room in my shed as well

I love your workshop Les.Do you have a thicknesser or what do you use to arrive at the size timber you want?
I could turn your workshop into a mess in no time.I love making things, but just a rough cleanup does me.I know I am a grub but that is the way it is I can but just dream having a clean workshop like yoursAnyone home?

Hey Les,
Thanks a LOT mate, I nearly had SWMBO convinced that my shed was OK, even the Mother In Law was on my side, If you had posted it in the Shed section I could have filtered it out.
All bu##S**T aside, brilliant setup and that is where I was heading when I started, excellent use of the space that you have available. I really like it, but how about posting a Pic of it when it's Dirty

I reckon it should be against the law to have a workshop as neat and tidy as that.
Reality is no background music.

If that was a shed it would be some sort of code violation
but since it's a shop it's probably ok - If I could find the code of practice I'd look it up
It is just too large and too neat for my liking - And tidiness is next to having too much time on your hands.
Ok I'm jealousregards

With it that clean, I reckon it's photoshopped
I can see why your pens are awesome - you are obviously very particular and methodical. Keep it up
Cheers,
