Sierra Advice
HI I just made a sierra, The pen won't turn when fully made. I have checked no glue in the tube. What else could stop a pen from letting the ink out. Tried it out the pen it works like a charm. What would be going on here??
Any ideas?

There isn't a burr in the nib or sometimes the ink tip has a waxy type blob on it, that's not blocking it is it. Can you put the ink tip through the nib from the outside to see if it fits through.

Just want to make sure I understand:
1) the ink refill writes if you use it on its own
2) when the refill is in the Sierra, rotating the barrel does not make the refill protrude enough to be used
Does the mechanism advance and retract the refill properly when it's removed from the pen? This would tell you whether the mechanism is faulty, or there is a problem with the nib.
Can you substitute another nib, to check whether the problem is with the nib?
Check for binding between the barrel and the nib, by removing the mechanism, and holding the barrel over the nib, and turning.
Did the refill seat correctly in the mechanism? I've noticed I usually have to fiddle a bit for the refill to 'click' into place, before screwing the mechanism into the nib.
Cheers,
Andrew
