Sierra Gold-n-Silver
Considering the weather, I had to have fun inside today, the area around the sawmil is just too saturated with water/mud....maybe tomorrow? Tired of the rain...but I guess come July around here I'll miss it?!?!
Had this one already drilled and tube was glued the other day, so all I had to do is put it on the lathe!
Gold-n-Silver on a Sierra Chrome/Gold Trivalent:
Close-up of just the turned part:
Skewed, wet sanded w/400grit and then used the first five pretty colored pads-MM/wet-
Dried everything up and then used MacGuire's PlastixPolish to get the finish.
Scott (quick fun is still fun) B

Cookie48, it's not timber.... It's one of the blanks my wife makes for the website. I get to half turn one of each blank for a 'demo photo' so folks can sort of 'see' what is under the crust....and then I get to finish it after into a pen!

It looks like the kit was designed for the blank. That's a real keeper for sure.
