Silver Birch
Hi all,
I have just come in form a productive day on the lathe.
Today I completed a pen for the Pen Swap, and these two Silver Birch Slimlines.
Also I finished off my first hollow form vase, it was going to be a bowl, but thats another story.
The timber was rescued from the firewood pile of my favourite B&B, and was a tree the owners had removed from their front yard.
One pen has Black Chrome fittings, while the other has Brushed Chrome.
I am not to sure which I like the best, I was experimenting with the different finish fittings available.
My plan is to present both pens and the bowl to the owners off the B&B when we visit again next monthI try and do new things twice.. the first time to see if I can do it.. the second time to see if I like it

The one with the dark grain patch on the end makes it stand out, both are well done Amos
