    nice pens mate

    i have never tried cross cut camphor laurel, it seems to be pretty soft do you get much tear out???

    MIK I hadn't tried cross cut either till this one the colours stood out when I was cutting bowl blanks and the remainder only left cross cut I ended up with a few bits. yes quite soft due to amount of oil still with in the main colour band area where its lighter colour it was dryer. No tear out on this piece, although due to grain orientation care it doesn't snap.
