    Default slim/filigree

For a while I have gone off slims as usually I reserve my less auspicious blanks for them, I finally found a way to make the humble slims more appealing with some filigrees, that will dress up the most nondescript blanks, of which already I have too many of lol. these were a couple I put together today to see the effect, not sure of the woods I think a birch and paduak very unsure hehe. The filigrees are designed to slip straight on a standard slim kit, just need to check bushings are not worn.

Big shed, I just measured the filigrees and the OD is .385 inches ID is .368 length is 2.016 inches, there is a very slight lip on one end which is why the extra length, in practise this is the clip end and allows the filigree to be locked in place when you press in the clip cap. They are supposed to slip on to a slim, but my slim bushings are about .331 so a bit small so you need a bushing about .360 for the part to slide onto a bit neater . Hope that helps
