Slimline Inlay
My wife Jackie bought some banksia inlay pen blanks from Ebay because she like the colours ..Having only turned a hand full of pens in timber and only one acrylic i decided to have a crack at it....Turned the blanks down to round and mmmm lots of little holes in the timber areas,Straight the phone to Dorno to rack his brain for some information and he put me on the right track (thanks Dorno) Put 8 coats of med CA on then Micromeshed then Maguires plastic polish...i was pretty happy with it....pics not the best,i need not to be lazy and use my good SLR instead of my phone....

They look great and good advice; CA fixes many problems including a chip I took out of an acrylic blank for a slimline recently. CA glued the chip back in, sanding and MM and you would never know.

Nice work this looks great. I love the way the timber looks like it's wrapping up the sides of the pen as it transitions to the acrylic
