    Thumbs up

    Gorgeous Amos.

Snake skins have a strange attraction, don't they?

I have a couple from Brett but I chipped the end of one. I,m still trying to decide how to fix it. I had thought of very carefully taking it down to the tube and gluing a piece of red and Black acrylic on the section.

Very nice Amos, those snake skins look good on the Sierra style pen, the shape really sets them off.

Great fit and finish, but what else is new! Well done

Artme, I think that the blank you have I could repair with Ca, if you wish send a pm and I will send you my address and will give it a go.
Rum Pig, I believe they have our equivalent of "Crocodile Farms" Except theirs are "Snake Farms" I remember quite a while back that someone raised the issue and the result was" no snakes were harmed during the making of this pen?!!! meaning it was a shed snake skin. I would need to ask Brett for full details. Amos

I'm sure it all above board I just love snakes
I do not think it could be a shed snake skin (scales) as there is no colour in them all the colour pigment is in there skin not there scales.
I have thought about buying some but I just cant bring myself to do it yet

They are real skins not shed, like the crocs, my understanding is the snakes are used for food

You can use shed skins, they do have some colour, but you must use white epoxy under to show what colour there is and clear resin over. I've made a few (see here), but don't use CA, it melts the shed skins
