    Default Solid brass pen

    I decided to try turning some half inch solid square rod, it turned out alright, I didnt want a flawless look so im happy.

    Mate,

    That looks great! Well done on trying something new. I recently did a similar thing using Aluminium bar, it was a swine to get even a reasonable finish on !!

    I turned it on my little carbatec economy mini lathe (wood lathe). It weights a little bit more than a hardwood one but its not too bad
