Spanish Olive
We had some visitors from a retirement village
visit our club on Wednesday.
Three of us did a demo of different items and mine
was a Slimline made from Spanish Olive.
Reasonably happy with it and the visitors were
impressed with our work. A most enjoyable day.

Olive can be a lovely wood to turn. Nice pen.

Allen,
That is the palest Spanish Olive I have seen.
The pen is basic and suitable for a demo pen.
Kind regards Peter.Nil Desperandum

Very nice job on the pen and I have a Question for you allen! How did get the printing on the tags ? I have just started labeling my pens I have recently made but I am not keen on the way my writing looks on the tags ?
Cheers Ian

Thanks for your comments.
Dorno: Bit fiddly but I type the name of the wood and put a
border around it. (Using Excel).
Then I type "Crafted by Allan at Wallan", again with a border.
Paste one on the front and one on the back of a stringed label.
Using scissors cut the surplus off the label leaving the borders.
I keep a "Saved" file and simply change the name of the wood
whenever I need to.
I also have the same sized label to accommodate lengthy
names of wood (two lines) ... just fiddle with the row height.
