    Default New 'Spring Blossom'

Hey fellers. Just finished one of David's (Timberbits) new 'Spring Blossom' kit. VERY good quality for the price !. It's a BIG pen as you can see in the shot next to a Slimline pen. It's quite heavy but nicely weighted. Everything goes together perfectly. The only trouble I had was with all the bushes. They would not go onto my mandrel rod, the holes were a tiny bit too small. I just filed them out a bit with a fine round impression file and no worries. This pen is dressed in Lace She Oak, 15 coats CA, + Mitrefix, then MM all the way, Brasso + Maguires Speed glaze. If you want a BMW at a KIA price, then check out these eh !!

Have to agree it's a hefty pen ,but not overly heavy in the end, about the same dimensions and styling as an "Emperor" but at "Paupers" prices , the sort of pen you can use your bigger blanks on and not feel you are wasting wood hehe. The quality of the pen is shown off very well here hehe, well done cheers ~John

Very Nice Kit, and you have done a good job with your choice and selection of timber.
Might need to give a couple of these a try myself. I Need to place another order with David anyway.
