Default Spring Blossom & Sheoak Pods

    Hi All,

Sold one of my higher end Ballpoint pens the other day to a couple of very nice young lady's. When I asked who it was for and why, I was advised that it was a retirement gift for Bob Atkinson our QLD Police Commissioner !! I heard he liked it very much and wanted to know more

I have not had much time to make anything lately but did manage to squeeze this one in It is a Spring Blossom from David wrapped in one of my own castings with Sheoak pods. When turning there were a few little holes in the pods where the resin had fallen or chipped out, so I decided to fill these with some copper powder and to be honest I do think it gave the pods a nice look.
When I was doing the casting I also mixed the pods in a lime green fluorescent and then placed them in the mold before then adding the Pearl-ex green It sure did give a nice effect in the colour mixing around the pods.

Anyway enough from me and lets get some pics up and get some comment !!!

    Thanks
    Tony

Looking good and good idea with the copper

Given who it was going to, perhaps you should have used blues
