    Default First Statesman

Hi guys, finally got the nerve (and cash) to try my first statesman.

Just finished final polishing and assembly tonight, and had to share the results .

Had a bit of excitement doing the drilling on monday, the drill bits looked like something off an oil derrick .

Dressed in Cocobolo, and finished with rustin's plastic as per froggie's tute (including sealing with CA and gassing myself with the fumes ). Rather pleased with the result, personally (wish my photography turned out half as good ). I've got a fountain pen kit as well which should look rather good next to it. That looks like being next week's project.

    Enjoy the pics...
