Storing all your pen parts
With the multitude of pen kits, parts etc. how do you store all of them so they are easily accessible? I've been using a couple of small tackle boxes but wonder if there's a better way.

Usually the storage boxes with multiple drawers are very good, each drawer needs labelling, they can be purchased at Aldi's or Bunnings. Master's etc.
If mounted on the wall it is very easy to see what is what. I wish I had started doing that from the beginning, I did start in the type of tackle box you mention, but it is far more accessible and convenient with drawers that are labelled. AmosGood, better, best, never let it rest;

Storage is a problem for most of us depending on projected needs ,will determine your methods ,small drawer sets are good for bushes and small parts ,not much use for heaps of pen kits in packets ,I have several multi drawer types on wheels from the cheap shops ,no matter how I try I still never have enough storage ,but I have been accumulating kits and bits for a long time now One thing I would advise is to keep each set of bushes with each type of kit for ease in finding when needed. If you have room a peg board somewhere out of the way ,and hang up all the kits you have currently ,and leave room for the future cheers ~ John
G'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

I started with a plastic one on wheels but found that this has quickly outgrown what I have been doing. The draws are deep and that is pretty useless so I have been keeping an eye out for something different to store the kits but as with everything it takes time. I have been thinking that I need something wall mounted or free standing and tall that I can push out of the way when not making pens.

for my pen component sets i use plastic lunch boxes and store them in shelves, the shelves have also come in handy for special pen blanks, i made the shelves so that 2 boxes can be stacked on each one, the lunch boxes are all labeled with a permanent marker, if a set is discontinued i just wipe the writing off with some metho and reuse the box
for my bushings i use small pieces of conduit with a plug in the bottom and each tube is labeled, these all sit in a rack on the wall behind the lathe
this system works well for me

Go to an Aldi sale, Tiger. They have plastic stackable drawers that are perfect for pen kits and cheap as. You can also get the spice bottle rotating rack from them which is perfect for bushes.

What size are the stackable draws at Aldi? Last time I was there I do not recall seeing them.

I hang all my kits on peg board mounted behind the lathe and bushes etc in small plastic draws.
One thing you have to watch if you do this is the ink refills can leak if upside down.
Works for me.
