Hey Les,
Beautiful pen, I like the Streamline and I am going to do some in Sheoak and I just got some 'European Birch' (that's what the bloke that give it to me called it), I glued up some today and hopefully get back in the shed over the weekend and get some spun up.

Hi Les nice pen.
I am going to have a go at some acrylics this weekend.
My first go at acrylics so i have a couple of questions.
Did you dry or wet sand to 400 grit.
The fine steel wool, does it have a grade, eg:00 or 0000
or is it just called fine.
Any help would be great.
Regards Jason

Poulso the fine steel wool is "0000" I got some at mitre 10 . wet sanding is best as it washes away the grit a bit, and keeps the temps down, you will need to sand longitudely as well to get fine scratch marks out before going to next grit. If you have some micromesh that will bring a nice surface to your acrylics before you polish with whatever you decide to use. God luck and go gently hehe , cheers John
G'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!
