    Default A real Sturdee pen.

Finally got around to turning a pen from the casting by Neil at my place.

As you all know I'm not a big pen turner and only make them as needed, and then mainly from whole acrylic or Corian blanks. Because of that so far I've only turned slimlines and none of the fancy ones that you guys turn.

A fancier pen would have done more justice to the blank as I couldn't turn it thinner to suit the slimline else most of the coloured casting would have been turned away.

I tried to put a CA finish on the pen but failed twice (too many ridges ) so I used EEE and Shellowax for the finish.

Here are some photos of the pen.

I really like the wood/colour combination and how it turned out and will certainly treasure this pen as a memento of a great day.

    Peter.

Well done Peter. I always like the resin/wood combination.
Glad to see you now have a memento of our day together.
