Stylus Streamlines
I have been commissioned to make one Australian timber Streamline Stylus.
So of course I made three!
Pen 1 is Curly Tasmanian Myrtle
Pen 2 is Tiger Myrtle (I believe from Tassie)
Pen 3 is Fiddleback Blackwood
Hope you like. I stuffed up the Tiger Myrtle one quite badly - the shape is rubbish - probably will be a freebie. But I really like how the Blackwood one turned out.

Sorry I forgot to mention. Each of these were turned, sanded to 600, then 20 coats of CA, then Micro Mesh to 12,000, then a final coat of Brasso.

Nice pens Bass. Don't worry about the shape of one pen - we all have moments when the memory lapses when turning. I stuffed up a captive ring pen by forgetting not to turn the nib end too thin. Still the pens all look well finished and the other 2 are great.

To save face, I'm claiming it was not entirely my fault. I had a chip blow out about 1cm in from the end which exposed the brass tube. thin CA mixed with sawdust fixed this up but then I had to turn it back smooth. I guess I was just a bit over aggressive.

Quite early on I started buying spare tubes for any pen kits I buy, this way you have unlimited redo if you have the timber.
I've even dismantled some stuff that has hung arround & I thaugh was not good enough to try again.
cheersAny thing with sharp teeth eats meat.
Most powertools have sharp teeth.
People are made of meat.
Abrasives can be just as dangerous as a blade.....and 10 times more painfull.
