Very nice shape and finish, but from here it looks as if the pen winds out a little too much. Does it wind back in far enough?

    Great work

Nice piece of timber, Not to sure about the shape  .

Maybe the beads could be further up, so they sit just before the nib bit on the clip  .

The skirt up the other way  .

Not knocking ya pen, just my opinion .
    Cheers

Yes, even though it shows that you are able to, and have experience, if you can do all those shapes etc: A pen still looks best simple and plain

Joash, it winds in ok, and somehow i agree that often a simple and plain pen looks just great, in fact the photo does'nt do this pen justice as far as the grain goes Soundman, there is a vivid contrst in the black and brown in it, Djstimber I also agree that it would look much better if the nib sat in the groove, but i can't picture the skirt the other way, so I will have to make a mate for it and correct the faults. i for one enjoy doing irregular shaped pens, just for something different.
amos, i think your pen looks cool, you've got a pretty good finish and a nice peice of wood ( right at the end of the clip looks awesome )

    Default Sassafras Delight

Very special design,if you keep the pen shorten the refill. It can stay open at the computer all the time.Never did see a pen like that. Great effort.

I think the shape is great - so are the wood and workmanship.
One of the few "fancy" pens that has the beads etc where they won't get in the way of my grip.

Would be a user for me.
    Cheers

I'm still at the stage where I'm ducking chunks of crapiata (or our local equivalent). There are many good turning woods but I haven't laid out the $$ - with my current skills I might as well just burn the notes and that's illegal over here.
I will post some links to local turning sites when I learn how to do that.
    Cheers
