Default Swamp Gum & White Cedar

The left pen is from a piece if firewood I was cutting for my sister in law. Apparently it's Swamp Gum, I have no idea, but I'm happy to go with that name! The other is from a White Cedar sample scrap that we got to see if it's the wood my client wanted for a sewing station/cupboard.

Both clickers are finished with 20 coats of thin CA.

    Thanks for looking.

Kinda funny story. I was in Tasmania last winter, freezing my toes off. So I thought cutting wood would warm me up. There buried in the 4 ton that I split was 1 only block that was riddled with fiddleback.

They thought that I was a little bonkers when I said I was taking it home with me...guess who got the last laugh?!!

    Nice pair of pens!!!

I remember cutting up a swamp gum or swamp box with a mate for firewood!!

That was before I took up turning!
