    Default Tasmanian Firewood

My Wife and i just came back from Northwest of Tasmania and this is what I was able to retrieve from a couple of woodpiles. They burn it!!!!

The first two images are the woodheap stuff. The large piece in the second image is a piece of Blackwood about 380x120x60 which came from Arthur River. The rest came from Stanley.

The wood in the third image comes from Wild Wood near Stanley (not free like the rest). It was a bit like a kid in a Candy store.

I am going to make some pens and a couple of clocks from it. More to follow as I get through it.

It is a beautiful area. If you get the chance go and see it.
    Cheers,
    Russ
