    Default Thuya Burl Jr Victor

I turned this pen a week or two ago, and it has become my favorite, definitely a keeper. I blew a small piece out of the end of the blank while drilling it, I used a small piece of Huon to patch it, I think it works. Finished with about 8 coats of CA, the finish is considerably better in real life than the photo shows.

I am not a lover of oops bands myself, but you made a good save, well done!

its very nice i like it , but just wonder how it would of looked if you had put a matching band on the other end below the clip or at he bottom of the top half .

I hate waste ,especially with quality timbers ,I Suspect that you had a small bit of the Thuya left over you might have used as a replacement with a very thin strip of contrasting material between the two as a feature ,but we all find our own ways to do things ,thanks for sharing cheers ~ John

    Hey There,

Yes a nice save, but I agree with Texx, I would have matched the save at the other end.
