(another) Timber ID please
I was up at Brads Burls last week and picked up these from their offcut throwaway bin
thought I had picked up some coolabah, beefwood and hairy oak, but these samples look a bit different to me, any ideas?
I've merely rotated the blanks in each photo for a better look

Top one looks like Brown Mallee Burl, two middle ones Silky Oak and the last Tiger Mrytle

Top piece is some type of burl
Next two are too pale for beefwood but look more like southern silky oak (grevillea robusta)
Bottom one unknown, pretty sure it is not hairy oak, too pale and no prominent medullary rays.
JimSometimes in the daily challenges that life gives us, we miss what is really important...

Brads was sold and the new owner Shen Taranto moved the business to where he worked in making furniture etc up at Ingleside.
Address is 7 Chilten Rd. opens wed - fri 9am - 3.30 pm and Sat 9am - 1 pm not that easy to find - sort of at the back of an industrial estate
has a lot of really nice stock - he's at the melbourne show at the moment
