Thanks for the reply Pete... a beautiful pen and very inspirational work. Congrats to both of you, it's a wonderful retirement present.

One last question, considering the amount of work you put into this, how much would you sell a pen like that for?

Now that's really impressive. The story behind it gives it a special indication as to what people make and why.

I'm not sure if you did. She is a lucky find and we are good for each other. I'm a happy dude.

One of the biggest problems with these watch parts pens is ensuring the kit has enough "meat" on the tubes to support the parts. Unfortunately if you hit a SS part, or titanium as are some of the parts, your HSS chisel will know it (in a bad way). Your "cover up" is not noticeable, so you have also done well from that perspective.
I understand the meat issues especially when they leave so little on caps. It is a problem for all casters imbedding things in pens. Thus far all the parts have come from old watches that don't have the exotics inside and we don't cast the wristband pins. I should cut the little shafts from the gears when I take the watches apart but.....

This pen wasn't made with sales in mind but because of the expensive kit and the blank I would want a few hundred dollars for it at least. That of course depends greatly on the venue and the market you are in.

I do appreciate all the comments everyone has made.

    Thanks
