Timely Steampunk
Pen Blank from Capt G Pen Kit from Timberbits.com Australiana.
First time turning this material used 1/4 inch skew on the flat in steps then 3/4 skew.
U Beaut triple E, then Brasso Cream polish.
Lots of concentration the most expensive blank yet.
Kind regards Peter.Nil Desperandum

Excellent work Peter. The pen is beautiful.
Since Marla sent me one i have been a sucker ever since.
Good to see you have stepped up from the slimlines Peter, it has taken a long time for you to bust out and express yourself in the lager diameter.
The principal does not alter and in many ways I think the slim line is much harder to perfect than most people think. next think I will see is you making big thick pens mate.

Gee Peter, that is a great pen !. I never thought to use U-Beaut EEE instead of Micro Mesh to sand back the acrylic finish, I'm doing several acrylic pens tomorrow, and I will use that instead of MM. .

Thanks guys wish my best pics would shake their hold of Picasa and transfer as the program used to be so friendly.
Les mate because I have only used a very few different kits Elegant Beauty has a few variations so I have been saving up to buy the right ones for those of yours and with your permission when I turn and assemble the others would like to put them on the forum with credit to you for them.
I am in awe at the incredible way Les you achieve and highly regard your Friendship

G'day Pete - You've done a great job, that's a very nice pen . The Australiana kit is good choice with the steam punk blank. I'm just beginning my journey into casting and I will definitely try to make some steam punk.
