Hi Ian
Eight out of ten made into Knights, plus two Sierras, lined up and likeable something for many people.
Simple pens to make and you had a good day I envy you I seem to take on the tough ones Timber mostly. I like the variety and in separating them in my minds eye sense that as they separate they will each hold their own.
The customers will be happy and a good days work rewarded.
Kind regards Peter.Nil Desperandum

Hi Ian
Great set of pens you have there.
Painting the tube black makes the blank look really dark.
I have made a lot of the orchid blanks. They are buy far the most popular with the girls. I leave the blanks unpainted. I find the brass color in the background brings a different tone to the purple - it actually brings the purple tone down to a pink. I have no dramas with my pens showing the brass tube through the brass tube.
I have never had a customer complain about seeing the brass tube - I think this problem is more a maker worrying about something that the customer don't even care about.
Thanks for sharing

Hey Guys thanks for all the feed back and for looking
Hey Timberbits
I have made a few of my own blanks which you can see the brass tube and they were the first lot to be sold. I was originaly going to leave it as it was but I tried something different and I didnt like it so lesson learnt
