    Default Today's Pens

    Hi,
Did some sierra turning today as well as a cigar

    Sierras Chrome+Gunmetal CA finished

    Figured Gutta Percha
    Red Mallee Burl
Figured Gidgee (cracks in the timber have turned out black )

The gidgee is very hard like turning a piece of metal. The conker-berry was also rather hard.

    Black Cigar Shellawax finished

Conker-berry (almost looks like a more orange version of osage orange)

I think I have now got the photography down to.

    Thanks for looking
    Ben
    Regards Ben

Sierras are a nice kit and I think you have done a magic job in bringingout the bes in them with your blanks and finish. Great work!!

Great collection of pens there Ben

What background are you using for the photography and are you taking the photos outside, inside or in a tent?

    Thank you everyone,

As for the background it is actually the mat of a trampoline it looks a bit like carbon fiber, it is taken outside the time to take the photos is important, they are taken on an overcast day (so there is no reflection from the sun)
    Regards Ben
