Todays shedded snake skin pens and clutch pencil
Hey Everyone well I got some time in the shed today thank god I got five done 2 Sierra's a gold and a chrome with shedded snake skin on them the gold one is the head part of the shedded skin both wet sanded, MM and finished with NP these are the blanks I casted myself. Also done two Bullet pens gold and chrome also wrapped with SSS and then wet sanded, MM and finished with NP and I also got a clutch pencil done it is wrapped in a acrylic called Black with white crush wet sanded, MM and finished with NP not sure if I like this kit all comments welcome Ian

Well Well Well !!
The snake skins are looking great, I really like the one with the head at the nib end, you can see it very easily in the photo.
Not sure that I like the clutch pencil kit, it looks too unfinished IMO.
Keep them Snake Pens coming !!

Hey Tony thanks mate I glad you like I also like the gold Sierra aswell and I agree on the clutch pencil kit but thats what it is ugly I am glad I didnt pay for them lol Ian

How many snkaes have you got. They are all ( except for the last one) very nice pens indeed. I tend to agree with you the last one looks unfinished and crude. ( sorry)

Hey Guys thanks for the feed back I glad yous like the pens I am very proud of these they worked out awesome and the are for the reptile swap meet on Sunday
Hey Cookie mate I only have two snakes but the reptile bloke is also supplying the shedded skin aswell. I also agree with the clutch pencil but this it turn bush to bush I need to get hold of the other ones and give them ago Ian

Heya Ian,
Love the outcome of the skin you've gotten, well cast, didnt see any bubbles, and followed it from your original "idea" post. Very nice result, hope the guy is appreciative of the work involved.(for its uniqueness alone i'd be making it a keeper)
As for the pencil, perhaps if you rounded over the top edge it might make the transition to the top more appealing, pehaps a corian or plastic bush for that end or pin chucking it to round it over. just an idea. or maybe a bead, for more shape.
