Default *OFF TOPIC* I'm alive and well

    Hi Folks,

It's been a while since I've been on the forums, and I've had a few concerned emails. I must say I'm touched that people have actually realised I'd gone quiet.

So just a quick update on where I'm at, for those interested.

Last I was on was around Easter, just after the BOW buy. My while family got the flu for a couple weeks (and no, it wasn't swine flu). Was just getting over that and on Mothers Day our son fell off a playground and broke his shoulder. Ended up with 3 temporary pins holding it together for a few weeks so it'd heal straight, and only started back at school full time this week. FInalo X-Ray this Friday to see if it's all mending well, then hopefully he'll be able to take the sling off and start using his arm again.

During all this time, I've been in the shed once to make my wife a BOW Sedona for Mothers Day (which i still haven't even put ink in for her yet - shame on me) and that's it. No other shed time for me.

I've had lots of ups & downs at work as well, with my boss telling me I have to change jobs if I want to stay part time, so I've been stressed about that too, and my mother had some health scares, but that seems to have turned out OK so far (OK as in not life threatening, but still debilitating for her still).

So with all that, plus other RL stuff that has to be done in-between, optional extras such as pen turning take a back seat. Hopefully a couple weeks more and things will be sort of back to normal (as much as it ever gets, anyway).

I haven't even read any posts here since back then, so hope everyone's been coming up with some great designs. Good to see the Aussie dollar has risen again, not sure if our local prices have reflected that though. I've at least been saving pennies not buyign stuff for a couple months.

I'll catch you all back here again as soon as I can.

    Russell.

Good to hear you're OK Russell, wondered what happened to you.

You're right about the Ozzie dollar, I have just stimulated the US economy single handedly and am awaiting the arrival of quite some goodies, tooling mainly.

Thanks for the headsup Russell. Hope you get some shed time in not too far down the track
It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

Russsell, glad to hear things are starting to get back on track, sorry to hear the woes you have been going through, had a few of my own and makes me appreciate others even more. My prayers are for you and the family, Amos

    Thumbs up

Good to hear from you again Russell.

Families and work have a habit of interrupting important things in life, don/t they?
