As far as fellowship with visiting pen turners, it was wonderful, as far as sales, I will have to look in the dictionary to see what that word means!!!???
The majority of people visiting are pen collectors, as such they are looking for vintage pens etc. not many are in the market for handcrafted pens.
It is like they have come looking for oranges, and when they see a stall with apples, they look and pass on for more oranges!
There was only one other stall that was selling handcrafted pens, all the rest are vintage pens or Brand name pens. AmosGood, better, best, never let it rest;

I agree with the earlier comment. That is a great selection of pens you have there Amos. It amazes me the quantity and the quality of pens you have there and I bet you still have plenty more at home.
Well done
Cheers Ian

great display Amos... fabulous
did the organizers let you know what the door count was
in the second picture on the top row of your display, can you tell me what is in the boxes with the pens, looks like an unusual key chain
pity the sales weren't there

Amos do you think it may have been better to have less pens on display and make a better display of what you had. Less is sometimes better than more. If the person asks about a particular pen and says I dont like that color then you bring out a pad with some more of that range.
As you say they were generally looking for vintage pens but if your stand highlighted a more select range of hand crafted pens maybe this would have been better.
Was there any promotion of hand crafted pens in the advertising, this may have helped bring in other people looking for that exclusive gift.Jim Carroll
