Default Twist Jr Gent in Ebony

    Where do i start
This Jr Gent pen kit has been butchered into a twist action , its my favorite pen , Ive used it at work for 3 months now

    Starting at the top

The "clip cap " has a 8mm dia , 22mm long tube epoxied in it to mate with the twist action mec

The middle has had it's thread ground down so it slips nicely and the twist mec epoxied into the lower half

The lower section of the pen has 2 tubes in it as well, the 10mm at the top and the 8mm at the bottom ,Epoxied it well or it will slip when pressed

The nose is from the twist mec kit ( discoloured with use)

The ink is a UniBall 0.7mm blue

I like it. What sort of finish did you use and has it held up ok? I'm only asking cause i'm currently trying to do a sierra with african ebony and it's not taking a finish really well at all. Poly doesn't seen to stick. Any suggestions from anyone?

it was my first attempt at a CA finish , didn't like it so i sanded it off and went to 1200 git then polish stick , it lost its gloss within a month, but i don't mind the natural no finish feel of the Northern Territory Ebony

that's what i love about ebonys. They have enough oil in to be buffed for a shine. Probably my favourite of natural finishes The one i'm doing is a commission for someone who wants a glass like finish so i'm trying sanding sealer under poly next. Does nt ebony turn well? I've never had the opportunity to turn it.
