Default a new twist on the twist pen

    hi guys
just playing around at moment getting ready for a demo at my local club and decided i would trick a few in making a couple of twist pens with only one piece of timber and no centre band and i also knocked a standard one out of cooktown ironwood from ironwood thanks brad
and they are so easy to make
first one is hairy oak and the other is a superb piece of mackay cedar with lots of white mixed with the red and a heap of figuring 2 pics from either side to show the grain

I'm happy to ask how they are made as well

The other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".

    WIP WIP WIP

    Nice pens well done

The Cooktown ironwood look very light in color is it the sap wood or just a dull piece?
