Twisted Zertec
I had a play with Neils new Beall today (he left it at my place for a day or two lol) we did some straight hex's for a trial run ,he will post when finished ,I had wanted to try a spiral hex ,the beall does not go low enough in the reduction gearing so was a bit more twisted than I had planned ,the pictures are not great but you will get the idea ,this one is cocobolo and finished with Rustins plastic coat , I will do my market research tomorrow hehe, but a slow process overall cheers ~ John
G'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

Looks good!
Now you have to do one in black or red resin so it looks like licorice

Yes they are Vertex
It turned out great John , now you can show me how to do it
He are the finished straight hexs we did - Cocobolo, Hairy Oak and African Ebony. Finished with 3 coats of Plastic Coat, once set sanded with 600/800, then micromesh to 12000 (all by hand sanding flat on the lathe bed), EEE and finally buffed with Hut wax.
Unfortunately I sanded a bit too much on the Ebony and went through to the wood in parts, so recoated, but ended up worse than the first time because I didn't leave it to set long enough . I was sick of sanding by hand by then, so left it with the Hut buff
I really like this kit, smooth mechanism and feels good in the hand. Should be popular with the guys & father's day
